Discover the art of cyanotype, one of the earliest photographic printing techniques, in this hands-on workshop. Using digital negatives, collage, and creative mark-making, you'll explore new ways to create unique blue-toned prints.
Create digital negatives using your own photos or provided images, then explore different techniques like drawing, masking, collage, and layering to make each print your own. Experiment with layering images, drawing, masking, scratching, and adding textured materials to create one-of-a-kind artwork. You'll also try coffee and green tea toning to change the colour and mood of your prints.
No experience is needed. By the end of the workshop, you'll take home several finished prints and learn how this historic process is still inspiring artists today.
